MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

For more than 34 years of care, driven by our 5 core values: Excellence, Responsibility, Integrity, Diversity and Team Spirit, delivering the finest education, our students are known to be highly respectful, responsible and distinguished characters among their communities.

I would say that some of the best moments I live are when I see our students becoming caring parents or passionate teachers passing their knowledge to the next generation.

And as our students grow, in addition to delivering them a top-notch educational level, we decided to take our dreams for them up high and started to formulate a new school life concept that would perfectly fulfil our students, parents, teachers and leaders' ambitions.

We have spent more than 5 years for planning, attended more than 600 quality meetings, shared our vision with more than 70 experts from Engineers, Designers, Psychiatrists, Counselors, Athletes, Artists, Musicians, and Educational Experts and surveyed more than 5000 parents and students to reach a perfect formula for a comprehensive concept of school life in a holistic learning environment that best serves our students and raise them in the best quality of living atmosphere.

To maximize our results, we have cooperated with the top institutions in all fields: Food and nutrition, health and fitness, sports, arts and music; each focusing on its area of expertise to better serve our students and maximize the benefit for our students in every aspect. Giving the opportunity, for all Sahara families to spend relaxing, quality time at home after an inclusive, rich school day.

Sahara New Capital is not just a school or an educational institution; it is a second home and a valuable life to our children as well as an opportunity that allows us to realize our dreams and achieve our goals for Egyptian young generations, whom we believe we are responsible for!

CEO, SAHARA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL NEW CAPITAL

BRITISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

Caring Atmosphere Finest Education. It is more than a slogan, it is our belief that started 32 years ago and is now extended to Sahara New Capital International School.

At the heart of the New Administrative Capital, Sahara New Capital is considered one of a kind and a quantum leap for educational concepts where students will have a unique learning experience in a green, inspiring environment. The school design, spacious premises, cutting-edge technology, and stimulating atmosphere aim to unleash the students’ creativity and knowledge by implementing a fully integrated, new ideology, that would guarantee the utmost benefit for its students’ physical, intellectual, spiritual and interpersonal skills.

For so, the school is cooperating with some of the most well-known expert institutions in health, sports, music, art, and restaurants to grant its students distinctive and comprehensive growth.

After proving excellence and worldwide achievements and rankings in the British education system, Sahara New Capital will carry on the school’s legacy of providing students with an established curriculum that follows the UK National Curriculum Framework served in a flexible, interactive learning environment.

Early Years Foundation Stage at Sahara International School follows the UK National Curriculum Framework, which believes that EVERY child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and the age of five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its’ own right. Good parenting and high-quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
At Sahara International School, we care to implement the four guiding principles that should shape practice in early years settings. These are:
• Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
• Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.
• Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers.
• Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years’ provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.
EYFS curriculum at Sahara International School covers Literacy, Numeracy, Understanding the World, French and Arabic, in addition to other activities that are necessary to their development as Art & Design, Physical Development, ICT, Music and Character Building.
Moreover, based on Sahara’s vision, teachers at Sahara International School get professional training in child psychology and classroom positive discipline periodically. They believe that kids perform better when they feel better.

Development Matters EYFS

Our academic curriculum has been based on the Cambridge framework which has its roots in the British National System of education. The Primary Checkpoint for stages one to six covers the core subjects of English, Math and Science. Additionally, the school has introduced a fourth subject – French – which together with the other three subjects forms the final grade. Our students develop essential skills in literacy, numeracy and scientific inquiry while covering a good knowledge base.
Our teachers who have been trained by both Cambridge and the publishers providing the academic books as approved by Cambridge have adopted several teaching methods to deliver the skills and knowledge as outlined in the framework. Among these methods are group work, teacher-led learning, exercises from workbooks and worksheets, individual work, visits and field trips, games and imaginative play, practical work and information technology integrated techniques.
The testing system is based on a wide range of progression tests aiming to monitor the progress of our children towards the end of the primary stage. At this point, they sit for a Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Achievement test conducted and marked by the Cambridge International Examinations Board. Such tests provide the students with a benchmark for their performance in the following stage, namely Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint (Years 7 and 8).
